GeBIZ tenders in Singapore: how to find, track and qualify them, with an AI agent watching

A GeBIZ tender is an invitation to tender that a Singapore government agency publishes on GeBIZ, the government's one-stop e-procurement portal, for purchases above S$90,000; smaller ones go out as quotations. To find them, register as a GeBIZ Trading Partner (your first account is free), follow GeBIZ's opportunity feeds for your categories, and check past awards in the Ministry of Finance's open dataset. An AI agent can watch those alerts and draft a bid/no-bid brief for each notice; a person still signs in, decides and submits.

In this guide:

What is GeBIZ, and what is a GeBIZ tender?

GeBIZ is the Singapore Government's one-stop e-procurement portal. Public-sector invitations for quotations and tenders are posted there, and suppliers use it to search GeBIZ opportunities, download documents and submit offers online. The Ministry of Finance sets the rules, including the value thresholds that decide which route a purchase takes:

RouteEstimated valueWhat it means for a supplier
Small value purchaseUp to S$6,000The agency may buy directly from a suitable supplier; there may be no open call to answer.
Quotation (ITQ)Up to S$90,000Invitations to quote are posted on GeBIZ; a limited quotation can go to selected suppliers only.
Tender (ITT)Above S$90,000An invitation to tender, posted on GeBIZ: the "GeBIZ tender" most people search for.
Tender LiteTenders up to S$1 millionFewer, simpler contract conditions, with no security deposit or liquidated damages by default. Started in April 2024, extended to construction in May 2025 and to ICT in April 2026.

How do you register as a GeBIZ Trading Partner, and what does it cost?

To download tender documents and submit offers you register as a GeBIZ Trading Partner, and the first account costs nothing. GeBIZ's own registration guides, for ACRA-registered and non-ACRA suppliers, say the first account is free and further accounts carry subscription fees. A Singapore company signs in through Corppass, so sort out who in your company holds Corppass access before a deadline does it for you. Some third-party sites quote registration fees; go by GeBIZ's own pages before paying anyone.

How do GeBIZ opportunity alerts work now?

Through RSS feeds, not the email alerts many guides still describe. GeBIZ's business alerts page says the GeBIZ Alert service on GoBusiness was discontinued on 28 February 2025, and that registered Trading Partners can instead subscribe to RSS feeds in a feed reader or a browser that supports them. According to the GeBIZ FAQ, the business opportunities feed refreshes hourly and lists open tenders and quotations, and the award feed refreshes daily.

Read the RSS terms of use before pointing any software at the feeds. They let you use the feeds as GeBIZ provides them, forbid editing their text, content or links, and require prior permission from DSTA (the Defence Science and Technology Agency) to hyperlink to or frame them, or to use them other than as GeBIZ intended. Independent services also email GeBIZ alerts; BidEx, for one, states that it is not affiliated with the Government of Singapore. Check how any such service collects its data and what it charges.

We could not confirm that GeBIZ's terms allow automated browsing of the portal itself, so the setup in this guide never crawls or scrapes GeBIZ pages.

How do you check GeBIZ tender results?

On GeBIZ itself, award information is published for each procurement and comes through the award feed. For analysis, the Ministry of Finance publishes Government Procurement via GeBIZ on data.gov.sg: awarded open tenders since FY2021, one row per award, with seven fields (tender number, description, agency, award date, status, supplier name and awarded amount). The current release covers April 2021 to March 2026, about 18,500 rows, and was last updated on 26 April 2026. Its coverage runs by financial year, which suggests a yearly refresh (our inference), and it holds tenders, not quotations or small purchases.

What the award data shows for FY2025

We downloaded all 18,464 rows through data.gov.sg's API on 16 October 2026 and looked at awards dated 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, Singapore's FY2025. A tender awarded to several suppliers appears as several rows, so we summed them per tender number; tenders with the status "Awarded to No Suppliers" are counted separately.

Two readings for a bidder. Half of all awarded tenders fell between S$90,000 and S$1 million, the band Tender Lite now covers, so the simplified route is not a niche. And the 14 AI-related awards ran from an AI capture-the-flag challenge to a S$14.1 million AI and data analytics platform for the Department of Statistics: a keyword finds the topic, not the fit. Amounts are as published: a single award can cover several years, and 96 tenders show amounts under S$1,000 (several at S$1), which look like unit rates or placeholders rather than contract values. Treat the figures as a guide to scale, not a price list.

Should you bid? A bid/no-bid brief template

Most of the work in tendering is deciding which notices deserve the effort. Here is a brief an agent can fill in for every notice that passes a first fit check, so the person deciding reads one page instead of the whole notice:

FieldWhat goes in it
NoticeTitle, agency, reference number and link exactly as GeBIZ gives them; closing date and time.
FitA score from 1 to 5 against your capability statement, quoting the lines that match and naming the gaps.
ValueThe estimated value if stated, and the route: quotation, tender or Tender Lite.
Past awardsSimilar tenders in the MOF dataset: how many, the median value, and who won them.
Mandatory requirementsLicences, registrations, certifications, track record, briefings, from the documents you forward.
EffortWorking days to closing, documents to prepare, and who on your team is needed.
RisksA tight timeline, an incumbent supplier, terms you cannot meet, an unfamiliar agency.
RecommendationBid, no bid, or ask a clarification question first, with one sentence of reasoning.
Not checkedAnything the agent could not verify, stated plainly.

How an AI agent watches GeBIZ for you

The agent works from what GeBIZ already sends out and from public award data, and stops where a commercial decision begins.

A GeBIZ alert reaches a mailbox the agent watchesThe agent reads the notice textIt checks fit against your capability statementIt pulls past awards for similar workIt sends a brief on WhatsApp or emailA person decides, signs in and bids
  1. Alerts arrive by email. Subscribe to GeBIZ's feeds for your categories in a feed reader that emails new items, or use an alert service you trust, and let the agent watch that mailbox; Olano agents can watch a Gmail search or any mailbox over IMAP. Reading the feeds directly is possible too, but confirm with GeBIZ that the RSS terms cover it first.
  2. The agent reads what it was sent, and nothing more. It does not crawl GeBIZ. Browser control is off by default on Olano and here it stays off; when a notice looks worth a closer look, a person opens it, downloads the documents and forwards them to the agent for a second pass on requirements and risks.
  3. Fit is checked against your own material. Your capability statement, past projects and certifications sit in the agent's knowledge base, so the score quotes your words, not the model's guesses.
  4. Past awards come from the open data, through data.gov.sg's API or Olano's open-source Singapore MCP server.
  5. The brief goes where your team works, on WhatsApp or by email, best fits first, in the template above.
  6. A person decides. Bid or not is a commercial judgement and a legal commitment.

What the agent never does

It never signs in to GeBIZ, never holds or uses anyone's Corppass or Singpass credentials, and never submits an offer or accepts terms. On Olano, submitting a form in a browser is a commit action that waits for a person every time, whatever the chat's approval mode, unless an owner deliberately writes a site rule allowing it, which no one should write for GeBIZ. Our comparison of agentic browsers and browser agents explains why the browser stays off here.

Common mistakes

  1. Waiting for email alerts that no longer exist. The GoBusiness alerts ended on 28 February 2025; set up the RSS feeds or another route.
  2. Filtering by keyword alone. A notice can describe your work in words your filter never matches, and a keyword match says nothing about fit.
  3. Pricing without looking at past awards. Who won the last similar tender, and at what value, is public.
  4. Reading the notice but not every document and clarification. Mandatory requirements often sit in the attachments.
  5. Setting up registration under deadline pressure. Register and settle Corppass access before the tender you want appears.
  6. Scraping the portal. Use the feeds GeBIZ provides and the open award data instead.

How Olano helps

Olano Studio builds this as a standing brief: the alert route, your capability statement in the agent's knowledge base, the award lookups, the brief template and delivery to WhatsApp or email. We built tender intelligence for a marketing agency on the same read-only pattern, and the wider approach is on our AI market research agent page. The limits: the agent does not bid for you, never holds your Corppass, cannot read documents nobody has downloaded, and its fit score is a starting point for a person, not a decision. FAQ

What is a GeBIZ tender?

An invitation to tender that a Singapore government agency publishes on GeBIZ, the government's one-stop e-procurement portal. Under the Ministry of Finance's rules, purchases estimated above S$90,000 go to tender; smaller ones go out as quotations or small value purchases.

How do I check GeBIZ tender results?

Award information is published on GeBIZ for each procurement and through its daily award feed. For analysis, the Ministry of Finance's Government Procurement via GeBIZ dataset on data.gov.sg lists awarded open tenders since FY2021 with agency, supplier and awarded amount.

How much does it cost to be a GeBIZ trading partner?

GeBIZ's registration guides say your first Trading Partner account is free, and additional accounts carry subscription fees. Check GeBIZ's own pages rather than third-party sites for current fees.

How can I check if a company is GeBIZ registered?

We could not find a public directory of registered Trading Partners. What is public is the award record: GeBIZ's award information and the MOF dataset name every supplier awarded a tender, which shows whether a company has won government work. For registration status itself, ask the company or GeBIZ.

How do I get government contracts in Singapore?

Register as a GeBIZ Trading Partner, choose the procurement categories you serve, follow their opportunity feeds, and study past awards before you price. Quotations, and Tender Lite tenders, which MOF simplified to make them more accessible to SMEs, are a practical place for a smaller company to start.

What documents do I need to tender?

There is no single list: each tender's documents set out what to submit, usually a priced offer and the agency's forms, sometimes with evidence such as licences, registrations or past projects. Read every document and clarification before deciding.

Can an AI agent submit a GeBIZ bid for me?

It should not, and ours do not. An agent can find notices, check fit, pull past awards and draft the brief, but signing in with Corppass and submitting an offer stay with a person, because a bid is a commercial decision and a legal commitment.
